Description
Climb up to the "Queen of the Kaunertal", the Weißseespitze at 3,532 m, together with a Kaunertal mountain guide. One of the most popular high-altitude tours in the region with magnificent glacier scenery and magnificent views of the famous peaks of the Ötztal Alps.
The Falginjochbahn cable car takes all mountaineers from the parking lot of the Kaunertal glacier ski area to 3,113 m above sea level in just a few minutes. Once you arrive at the mountain station, you are roped up for an easy climb along the west ridge to the glacier plateau of the Gepatschferner. Finally, a unique glacier surface is crossed, with the summit of the Weißseespitze at 3,532 m above sea level always in view.
After the summit experience, the descent leads over impressively glaciated areas to the north ridge. This is followed by an easy ridge climb back to the starting point.
