A real treat for motorcycle fans is the ride into the permanent ice. The 29 bends of the famous Kaunertal Glacier Road seem to be made for biker dreams! On 26 memorable kilometres, the asphalt meanders its way up 2,750 m. Passing the Gepatsch reservoir, historic buildings, and special natural beauties, the tour takes motorcycle fans up to the summit.
Once at the top, it's time to take a deep breath and enjoy. After all, such breath-taking view of the Alps are not something most people get to see every day! And before you start downhill again? Treat yourself to a little break on the sun terrace of the Glacier Restaurant!

Das Tiroler Oberland bietet gerade für Motorrad Begeisterte ein vielfältiges Angebot und zahlreiche imposante und grenzübergreifende Touren. Um der Lärmbelastung für die heimische Bevölkerung ein wenig entgegenzuwirken, hat kürzlich das Land Tirol auf einen kleinen Teil der Strecken im Bezirk Imst und Reutte Fahrverbote verordnet. Diese betreffen besonders laute Motorräder, die über 95 dBA Standgeräusch aufweisen. Von den Fahrverboten sind nur rund 5,6% des gesamten Landesstraßennetzes in Tirol betroffen. Demnach darf man mit einem Motorrad, welches im Hinblick auf das genehmigte Standgeräusch den ab 10. Juni 2020 geltenden Fahrverboten unterliegt, weiterhin mehr als 94% der Landesstraßen in Tirol befahren. Von diesem Fahrverbot sind nur ca. 7% der zugelassenen Fahrzeuge betroffen. Diese Beschränkungen gelten für den Zeitraum von 15. April bis 31. Oktober jeden Jahres.
