Accessible glacier cave

Anyone looking to cool off in the hot summer will find refreshing mountain air and ice-cold glacier ice on the Kaunertal Glacier due to its altitude! Near the glacier parking lot at 2,750 meters, a glacier cave has been made accessible to visitors at the lower end of the Weißseeferner. During the free guided tours to the glacier cave, you can learn interesting facts about glaciers - from their formation to the melting of the glaciers.

From Monday to Friday from the beginning of July to the end of August, we will guide you through our unique glacier world, meeting point is at 11:00 am on the sun terrace of the Weißseerestaurant (2,750 m), the tour lasts approx. 40 minutes.
